For steam-to-liquid heating, the SU/WU line offers a removable U-tube bundle design; SU123-2 sits within that range. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Dimensionally it is a 12-inch shell unit, 36-inch shell length, and roughly 41-1/2 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 61 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in building comfort heating, swimming pool heating, and instantaneous domestic water heating.
