Built around a removable U-tube bundle, this configuration delivers steam-to-liquid heating for demanding service. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Its envelope centers on a 10-inch diameter shell, 60-inch shell length, and roughly 65 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 71 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. This build is designated SU105-2. Typical duty includes radiant panel and snow-melt converters, instantaneous domestic water heating, and swimming pool heating.
