Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n SU102-2 as shown on this page.
Configured for steam-to-liquid heating, this configuration carries the removable U-tube bundle construction that defines the SU/WU range. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. The configuration measures 10 inches across the shell, 24-inch shell length, and roughly 29 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 27 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as SU102-2. Standard construction uses cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 125 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes radiant panel and snow-melt converters, swimming pool heating, and building comfort heating.
