SU1010-6

SU1010-6 is a SU/WU unit built on a removable U-tube bundle for steam-to-liquid heating. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Physically, the unit runs a 10-inch shell, 120-inch shell length, and roughly 125 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 116 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are building comfort heating, instantaneous domestic water heating, and swimming pool heating.
