Built around a double-wall U-tube bundle, this configuration delivers steam-to-liquid heating with cross-contamination protection for demanding service. An atmospheric air gap between the inner and outer tube vents any breach to the outside, giving a visible telltale leak instead of silent mixing. Physically, the unit runs a 10-inch shell, 24-inch shell length in a 4-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper (double wall) tubes, and naval brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 125 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature.
