The Diamondback DSU/DWU platform pairs a double-wall U-tube bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and this configuration applies that design to steam-to-liquid heating with cross-contamination protection. An atmospheric air gap between the inner and outer tube vents any breach to the outside, giving a visible telltale leak instead of silent mixing. Dimensionally it is a 6-inch shell unit, 24-inch shell length in a 6-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper (double wall) tubes, and naval brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature.
