HTWU89-44

HTWU89-44 is a HTWU unit built on a removable U-tube bundle for high-temperature water heating. High-temperature water flows through the tube side, so the heads rather than the shell set the pressure limit. Dimensionally it is a 8-inch shell unit, 108-inch shell length, and roughly 113-1/8 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 75 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 400 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Installations range across converter duty on HTHW loops, industrial process heating, and high-temperature hot water distribution.
