HTWU105-65

A removable U-tube bundle gives this configuration the thermal and mechanical margin expected of HTWU equipment in high-temperature water heating. High-temperature water flows through the tube side, so the heads rather than the shell set the pressure limit. Its envelope centers on a 10-inch diameter shell, 60-inch shell length, and roughly 65-3/8 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 56 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 400 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. This build is designated HTWU105-65.
