For high-temperature water heating, the HTWU line offers a removable U-tube bundle design; 5-268-12-072-003 sits within that range. High-temperature water flows through the tube side, so the heads rather than the shell set the pressure limit. Its envelope centers on a 12-inch diameter shell, 72-inch shell length, and roughly 78 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 103 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 400 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes campus and district energy systems, high-temperature hot water distribution, and converter duty on HTHW loops.
