The HTWU platform pairs a removable U-tube bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and this configuration applies that design to high-temperature water heating. High-temperature water flows through the tube side, so the heads rather than the shell set the pressure limit. The configuration measures 8 inches across the shell, 72-inch shell length, and roughly 77-1/8 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 49 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets.
