Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n 5-268-08-060-002 as shown on this page.
Configured for high-temperature water heating, 5-268-08-060-002 carries the removable U-tube bundle construction that defines the HTWU range. High-temperature water flows through the tube side, so the heads rather than the shell set the pressure limit. Dimensionally it is a 8-inch shell unit, 60-inch shell length, and roughly 65-1/8 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 41 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 400 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes campus and district energy systems, converter duty on HTHW loops, and high-temperature hot water distribution.
