The HTWU platform pairs a removable U-tube bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and 5-268-06-036-003 applies that design to high-temperature water heating. High-temperature water flows through the tube side, so the heads rather than the shell set the pressure limit. Dimensionally it is a 6-inch shell unit, 36-inch shell length, and roughly 40-1/4 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 9.6 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 400 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes campus and district energy systems, high-temperature hot water distribution, and industrial process heating.
