WU88-64

This configuration is a SU/WU unit built on a removable U-tube bundle for liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Dimensionally it is a 8-inch shell unit, 96-inch shell length, and roughly 101 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 55 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as WU88-64. The build specifies cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes hydronic HVAC converters, oil cooling and snow melting, and condensate cooling.
