Configured for liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling, WU43-44 carries the removable U-tube bundle construction that defines the SU/WU range. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. The configuration measures 4 inches across the shell, 36-inch shell length, and roughly 40-7/8 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 6.8 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in condensate cooling, hydronic HVAC converters, and pool and storage-tower heating.
