Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n WU43-24 as shown on this page.
Built around a removable U-tube bundle, this configuration delivers liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling for demanding service. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Dimensionally it is a 4-inch shell unit, 36-inch shell length, and roughly 40-7/8 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 6.8 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Installations range across oil cooling and snow melting, hydronic HVAC converters, and pool and storage-tower heating. This build is designated WU43-24.
