Configured for liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling, this configuration carries the removable U-tube bundle construction that defines the SU/WU range. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. The configuration measures 26 inches across the shell, 60-inch shell length, and roughly 110 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 600 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as WU265-2. Material selection covers cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Common applications are condensate cooling, pool and storage-tower heating, and hydronic HVAC converters.
