WU264-4

A removable U-tube bundle gives WU264-4 the thermal and mechanical margin expected of SU/WU equipment in liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. The configuration measures 26 inches across the shell, 48-inch shell length, and roughly 93-3/8 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 475 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in pool and storage-tower heating, hydronic HVAC converters, and oil cooling and snow melting.
