WU187-66

WU187-66 is a SU/WU unit built on a removable U-tube bundle for liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Dimensionally it is a 18-inch shell unit, 84-inch shell length, and roughly 99-1/2 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, N/A on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in hydronic HVAC converters, condensate cooling, and pool and storage-tower heating. Optional stainless shells, 90/10 copper-nickel tubes, and cast brass or bronze bonnets suit aggressive or brackish water service.
