WU187-26

A removable U-tube bundle gives WU187-26 the thermal and mechanical margin expected of SU/WU equipment in liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Dimensionally it is a 18-inch shell unit, 84-inch shell length, and roughly 99-1/2 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 339 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 125 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes condensate cooling, oil cooling and snow melting, and hydronic HVAC converters.
