Configured for liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling, WU186-46 carries the removable U-tube bundle construction that defines the SU/WU range. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. The configuration measures 18 inches across the shell, 72-inch shell length, and roughly 87-1/2 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 290 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 125 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Installations range across hydronic HVAC converters, pool and storage-tower heating, and condensate cooling.
