For liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling, the SU/WU line offers a removable U-tube bundle design; WU185-66 sits within that range. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Physically, the unit runs a 18-inch shell, 60-inch shell length, and roughly 75-1/2 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, N/A on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Common applications are condensate cooling, oil cooling and snow melting, and pool and storage-tower heating. Optional stainless shells, 90/10 copper-nickel tubes, and cast brass or bronze bonnets suit aggressive or brackish water service.
