For liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling, the SU/WU line offers a removable U-tube bundle design; this configuration sits within that range. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Dimensionally it is a 18-inch shell unit, 60-inch shell length, and roughly 77-1/2 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, N/A on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Installations range across condensate cooling, oil cooling and snow melting, and pool and storage-tower heating. Optional stainless shells, 90/10 copper-nickel tubes, and cast brass or bronze bonnets suit aggressive or brackish water service. This build is designated WU185-612.
