Configured for liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling, this configuration carries the removable U-tube bundle construction that defines the SU/WU range. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Physically, the unit runs a 18-inch shell, 48-inch shell length, and roughly 63-1/2 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, N/A on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. This build is designated WU184-66. Installations range across pool and storage-tower heating, oil cooling and snow melting, and hydronic HVAC converters.
