Configured for liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling, WU129-66 carries the removable U-tube bundle construction that defines the SU/WU range. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Physically, the unit runs a 12-inch shell, 108-inch shell length, and roughly 116-1/2 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 156 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, N/A on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Common applications are condensate cooling, oil cooling and snow melting, and hydronic HVAC converters.
