Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Physically, the unit runs a 10-inch shell, 60-inch shell length, and roughly 65 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 71 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 125 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes pool and storage-tower heating, condensate cooling, and oil cooling and snow melting.
