WU104-65

This configuration is a SU/WU unit built on a removable U-tube bundle for liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Physically, the unit runs a 10-inch shell, 48-inch shell length, and roughly 53 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 45 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, N/A on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Common applications are oil cooling and snow melting, pool and storage-tower heating, and condensate cooling. This build is designated WU104-65.
