Built around a removable U-tube bundle, this configuration delivers liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling for demanding service. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Dimensionally it is a 10-inch shell unit, 48-inch shell length, and roughly 53 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 56 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as WU104-25. The build specifies cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 125 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in hydronic HVAC converters, oil cooling and snow melting, and condensate cooling.
