Built around a removable straight-tube bundle, this configuration delivers general industrial liquid-to-liquid heat transfer for demanding service. An internally packed floating rear tubesheet absorbs differential expansion, and the bundle pulls for straight-through mechanical tube cleaning. Dimensionally it is a 16-inch shell unit, 168-inch shell length, and roughly 183-1/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 663 square feet of heat transfer surface on 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are chemical and refinery duty, process heating and cooling, and condenser and evaporator service. This build is designated 5-151-16-168-002.
