A removable straight-tube bundle gives this configuration the thermal and mechanical margin expected of OC straight tube equipment in general industrial liquid-to-liquid heat transfer. An internally packed floating rear tubesheet absorbs differential expansion, and the bundle pulls for straight-through mechanical tube cleaning. Dimensionally it is a 12-inch shell unit, 84-inch shell length, and roughly 95-1/4 inches overall in a 1-pass arrangement. That works out to about 224 square feet of heat transfer surface on 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. The unit is rated for 125 PSI on the shell side, 125 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. This build is designated 5-151-12-084-001.
