A removable straight-tube bundle gives 5-151-08-120-001 the thermal and mechanical margin expected of OC straight tube equipment in general industrial liquid-to-liquid heat transfer. An internally packed floating rear tubesheet absorbs differential expansion, and the bundle pulls for straight-through mechanical tube cleaning. Physically, the unit runs a 8-inch shell, 120-inch shell length, and roughly 129-5/8 inches overall in a 1-pass arrangement. That works out to about 124.1 square feet of heat transfer surface on 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 125 PSI on the shell side, 125 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are chemical and refinery duty, process heating and cooling, and condenser and evaporator service.
