It shares the compact CHX envelope while targeting service that would attack a standard cooler. Physically, the unit runs a 8-inch shell, 96-inch shell length in a 2-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as CHXS896-2L. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes deionized and treated water cooling, mechanical seal cooling, and hydraulic and lube oil cooling.
