CHXS624-2S

A fixed-tubesheet bundle gives CHXS624-2S the thermal and mechanical margin expected of CHXS compact equipment in compact liquid cooling in corrosive service. It shares the compact CHX envelope while targeting service that would attack a standard cooler. Its envelope centers on a 6-inch diameter shell, 24-inch shell length, and roughly 29-3/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 23 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Common applications are deionized and treated water cooling, mechanical seal cooling, and chemical and food process cooling.
