Configured for compact liquid cooling in corrosive service, this configuration carries the fixed-tubesheet bundle construction that defines the CHXS compact range. It shares the compact CHX envelope while targeting service that would attack a standard cooler. Dimensionally it is a 5-inch shell unit, 36-inch shell length, and roughly 40-5/16 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 24 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. This build is designated CHXS536-2S.
