CHXS536-1S

CHXS536-1S is a CHXS compact unit built on a fixed-tubesheet bundle for compact liquid cooling in corrosive service. It shares the compact CHX envelope while targeting service that would attack a standard cooler. Physically, the unit runs a 5-inch shell, 36-inch shell length, and roughly 40-1/2 inches overall in a 1-pass arrangement. That works out to about 24 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Common applications are mechanical seal cooling, chemical and food process cooling, and hydraulic and lube oil cooling.
