Configured for compact liquid cooling in corrosive service, this configuration carries the fixed-tubesheet bundle construction that defines the CHXS compact range. It shares the compact CHX envelope while targeting service that would attack a standard cooler. Dimensionally it is a 4-inch shell unit, 14-inch shell length, and roughly 17-5/8 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 8.3 square feet of heat transfer surface on 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Installations range across hydraulic and lube oil cooling, deionized and treated water cooling, and mechanical seal cooling. This build is designated CHXS414-2L.
