The CHXS compact platform pairs a fixed-tubesheet bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and this configuration applies that design to compact liquid cooling in corrosive service. It shares the compact CHX envelope while targeting service that would attack a standard cooler. Physically, the unit runs a 3-inch shell, 36-inch shell length in a 2-pass arrangement. It carries 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. This build is designated CHXS336-2S. Typical duty includes deionized and treated water cooling, hydraulic and lube oil cooling, and mechanical seal cooling.
