Configured for compact liquid cooling in corrosive service, this configuration carries the fixed-tubesheet bundle construction that defines the CHXS compact range. It shares the compact CHX envelope while targeting service that would attack a standard cooler. Physically, the unit runs a 6-inch shell, 24-inch shell length, and roughly 29-3/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 23 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in mechanical seal cooling, hydraulic and lube oil cooling, and deionized and treated water cooling. This build is designated 5-160-06-024-003.
