A fixed-tubesheet bundle gives 5-160-05-014-002 the thermal and mechanical margin expected of CHXS compact equipment in compact liquid cooling in corrosive service. It shares the compact CHX envelope while targeting service that would attack a standard cooler. Dimensionally it is a 5-inch shell unit, 14-inch shell length, and roughly 18-1/2 inches overall in a 1-pass arrangement. That works out to about 9.1 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes chemical and food process cooling, hydraulic and lube oil cooling, and mechanical seal cooling.
