Built around a fixed-tubesheet bundle, this configuration delivers compact liquid cooling in corrosive service for demanding service. It shares the compact CHX envelope while targeting service that would attack a standard cooler. Dimensionally it is a 4-inch shell unit, 36-inch shell length, and roughly 40 inches overall in a 1-pass arrangement. That works out to about 21.2 square feet of heat transfer surface on 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. This build is designated 5-160-04-036-002. Common applications are deionized and treated water cooling, chemical and food process cooling, and mechanical seal cooling.
