It shares the compact CHX envelope while targeting service that would attack a standard cooler. Dimensionally it is a 2-inch shell unit, 8-inch shell length, and roughly 11 inches overall in a 1-pass arrangement. That works out to about 1.2 square feet of heat transfer surface on 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as 5-160-02-008-001. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Common applications are hydraulic and lube oil cooling, deionized and treated water cooling, and mechanical seal cooling.
