Configured for compact liquid cooling, this configuration carries the fixed-tubesheet bundle construction that defines the CHX compact range. Small-diameter tubes pack maximum surface into a short shell, keeping the mounting footprint tight. Its envelope centers on a 8-inch diameter shell, 24-inch shell length, and roughly 30-3/4 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 41 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, brass shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Common applications are hydraulic and lube oil cooling, mechanical seal cooling, and injection molding machine cooling. This build is designated CHX824-4L.
