Built around a fixed-tubesheet bundle, this configuration delivers compact liquid cooling for demanding service. Small-diameter tubes pack maximum surface into a short shell, keeping the mounting footprint tight. Dimensionally it is a 8-inch shell unit, 24-inch shell length, and roughly 30-1/2 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 41 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, brass shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. This build is designated CHX824-2S. Installations range across engine jacket water cooling, mechanical seal cooling, and injection molding machine cooling.
