CHX524-1S

Built around a fixed-tubesheet bundle, CHX524-1S delivers compact liquid cooling for demanding service. Small-diameter tubes pack maximum surface into a short shell, keeping the mounting footprint tight. Dimensionally it is a 5-inch shell unit, 24-inch shell length, and roughly 28-1/2 inches overall in a 1-pass arrangement. That works out to about 16 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, brass shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Common applications are injection molding machine cooling, mechanical seal cooling, and engine jacket water cooling. All non-ferrous shellside construction resists water-side corrosion, and brass heads are available as an option.
