CHX514-2S

CHX514-2S is a CHX compact unit built on a fixed-tubesheet bundle for compact liquid cooling. Small-diameter tubes pack maximum surface into a short shell, keeping the mounting footprint tight. Physically, the unit runs a 5-inch shell, 14-inch shell length, and roughly 18-5/16 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 9.1 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, brass shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes mechanical seal cooling, engine jacket water cooling, and injection molding machine cooling. All non-ferrous shellside construction resists water-side corrosion, and brass heads are available as an option.
