This configuration is a CHX compact unit built on a fixed-tubesheet bundle for compact liquid cooling. Small-diameter tubes pack maximum surface into a short shell, keeping the mounting footprint tight. Its envelope centers on a 5-inch diameter shell, 14-inch shell length, and roughly 18-1/2 inches overall in a 1-pass arrangement. That works out to about 9.1 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, brass shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. This build is designated CHX514-1S. Installations range across injection molding machine cooling, hydraulic and lube oil cooling, and engine jacket water cooling.
