CHX424-2S

A fixed-tubesheet bundle gives CHX424-2S the thermal and mechanical margin expected of CHX compact equipment in compact liquid cooling. Small-diameter tubes pack maximum surface into a short shell, keeping the mounting footprint tight. Its envelope centers on a 4-inch diameter shell, 24-inch shell length, and roughly 27-5/8 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 14.1 square feet of heat transfer surface on 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, brass shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Common applications are mechanical seal cooling, engine jacket water cooling, and injection molding machine cooling.
