GC69-30

A removable straight-tube bundle gives this configuration the thermal and mechanical margin expected of GC gas cooler equipment in water-cooled gas cooling. Hot gas passes through the tubes against cooling water in the baffled shell, and the unit shares the removable-bundle construction of the OC series. Dimensionally it is a 6-inch shell unit, 111-inch shell length. It carries 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as GC69-30. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper or steel tubes, and steel tubesheets. The unit is rated for 1000°F maximum temperature. Installations range across compressor discharge gas cooling, process gas cooling, and industrial gas conditioning. Small-diameter tubing maximizes surface in a given shell, and alternate tube alloys are available for corrosive gas streams.
