GC67-40

GC67-40 is a GC gas cooler unit built on a removable straight-tube bundle for water-cooled gas cooling. Hot gas passes through the tubes against cooling water in the baffled shell, and the unit shares the removable-bundle construction of the OC series. Dimensionally it is a 6-inch shell unit, 87-inch shell length. It carries 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper or steel tubes, and steel tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 1000°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes blower and vapor cooling duty, compressor discharge gas cooling, and industrial gas conditioning. Small-diameter tubing maximizes surface in a given shell, and alternate tube alloys are available for corrosive gas streams.
