GC65-30

Configured for water-cooled gas cooling, this configuration carries the removable straight-tube bundle construction that defines the GC gas cooler range. Hot gas passes through the tubes against cooling water in the baffled shell, and the unit shares the removable-bundle construction of the OC series. Dimensionally it is a 6-inch shell unit, 63-inch shell length. It carries 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as GC65-30. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper or steel tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 1000°F maximum temperature. Common applications are blower and vapor cooling duty, process gas cooling, and industrial gas conditioning. Small-diameter tubing maximizes surface in a given shell, and alternate tube alloys are available for corrosive gas streams.
