GC47-20

Configured for water-cooled gas cooling, GC47-20 carries the removable straight-tube bundle construction that defines the GC gas cooler range. Hot gas passes through the tubes against cooling water in the baffled shell, and the unit shares the removable-bundle construction of the OC series. Its envelope centers on a 4-inch diameter shell, 87-inch shell length. It carries 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper or steel tubes, and steel tubesheets. The unit is rated for 1000°F maximum temperature. Common applications are process gas cooling, compressor discharge gas cooling, and blower and vapor cooling duty. Small-diameter tubing maximizes surface in a given shell, and alternate tube alloys are available for corrosive gas streams.
